The President's Welcome

Hello and welcome to our website. Our website will give you an insight to what
we do as Rotarians and how we operate. Hopefully this will not only spark your
interest in Rotary but also our Club.
The Rotary Club of Brisbane High-Rise has a proud history of community
engagement and support, extending back to our charter in 1993. Each year we plan
and undertake a wide variety of projects locally, nationally and
internationally. We are also renowned for responding when community needs are at
their greatest, such as the recent natural disasters, both locally and
internationally.
Being an inner city club means we operate a little differently to most Rotary
clubs. Our members generally live or work in and around the central city area of
Brisbane. They are typically busy people with time constraints. As we are a
breakfast club, our weekly meeting has the appeal of starting early and
finishing on time. You can enjoy the meeting and be on your way by 8.30am.
The cornerstone of our club activity is the Thursday morning meeting. We have a
long history of featuring interesting and informative guest speakers at these
meetings. Club activity flows from this meeting with various projects presented,
promoted and managed. The opportunity for involvement is extensive with
something to appeal to most interests.
Notably we enjoy what we do and this is reflected in the vibrancy and fun in our
meetings. We seek serious outcomes but that does not preclude us from having a
good time along the way.
Attending a weekly meeting is the best way to learn about Rotary and our Club.
Visitors and guests are most welcome. Simply send us an email via the Contact
page on this website and we will respond with the necessary details. Go to the
“Apologies/Visitor Notification” email link towards the bottom of the Contact
page.
